KEYWORD

This is the Specific keyword that the data relates to, it might contain spelling mistakes but that is the search information the data matches.

SEARCHES

These are the DAILY searches people carry out, typically they can be split into three groups, Broad, Phrase and Exact. There will be a later video going into the differences in more detail. For now watch the video and read the info below.

Broad Searches – relates to the number of people using “search engines” that using the word combination. E.G. the keyword “make money online” a broad search of this keyword could be as follows. “I want to make money online, or “How do i make money online fast” or “I am online to make money”. As you can see all three words are in the search text but are in any order and split by other words. This search tends to have the highest number and is a good indicator of how many searches those words get. The higher the number the more likely there are more long tail keywords available.

Phrase Searches – Unlike Broad Searches, Phrase Search means the words in the keyword have to be connected and in that order. E.G. Make Money Online by blogging is a phrase match as it contains the words in the correct order. BUT “Make lots of money online” is not a phrase search as “lots of” splits up the phrase. This is one of the most critical searches information as it tells you exactly how many people are searching for your keyword phrase. This method of analysis allows you to review the phrase with all the possible questions that can go with the phrase. E,g, “How do i make money online”, ” I want to make money online”, “Easy ways to make money online”.

Exact Searches – This is a lot easier, it is the number of people that search just for the phrase. In our example it would be the number of people that type in the words”make money online” into the search box. It tends to be the lowest search volume number. Always a good one to show you the minimum search volume you are likely to get for a keyword.

SEO TRAFFIC – Same definitions as above for Broad, phrase and exact. BUT SEO Traffic is the maximum potential daily clicks that a #1 ranked site for this keyword term could potentially achieve. Even if you are ranked No.1 in google it is unlikely that you will get clicked by everyone searching for the keyword. So this is an adjusted value to indicated how much traffic you can expect to get on your site. This is a good reality check especially for the low search volume words. It is also needed to calculate the value of ADWORDS.

Phrase-to-Broad Ratio – The percentage of phrase-match searches out of broad-match searches for this keyword. The higher this value the better, a low value tends to suggest that there is a better combination of the words being searched. Using our example the keyword “Make Online Money” could get a higher search volume and as such yield a low PBR. Its also the first indicator of Higher Competition levels.

COMPETITION

SEO Competition – Being pulled straight from Google’s Databases, this is the number of pages Google has indexed that contain the Keyword Phrase. This is one of the biggest values in the database, as it starts to inform you of how many competing webmasters you are against for the keyword.

SEO Title Competition -  As with SEOC this data is pulled from googles databases, and is an indication of the number of pages that have the keywords in the page title. This can be in any order, Internet marketers use this figure to see how difficult a niche might be. The lower this number the better.

COMP to TITLE – This is a ratio of title competition vs SEO competition. If it is high over 200% There is likely to be strong competition for your keywords. However if it is low under 50% you have got low competition.

ADWORDS

An Adword is an advertisement that GOOGLE manages that pays people to put advertisements onto webpages.  The people placing the ads are called Google advertisers. These adwords are the method by which you will make money with these keywords.

Adwords Traffic - this is the total number of clicks that an ad might get a day, from all pages with the ad. For example if you have the number 1 site for this keyword, It does not guarantee that you will get all this traffic. If the No. 2 site also has Adword Ads they will get some of the Adword traffic. Obviously then the higher this number the better.

Adwords CPC (cost per click) – This is the price the highest paying AD placer pays for each click.  The higher this value the more competitive the keyword is (i.e. more advertisers or expensive products) it also is an indication of how much you will receive every time someone clicks on the ads on your site.

Adwords CTR ( Click Through Rate) – This is the percentage of people from the SEO traffic that will click on the No.1 advertiser for your keyword.  Typically there could be 4-5 potential ads for people to click on when on a web page for your keyword. Typically people wont always select the top paying keyword. The click through rate allows us to reduce he total number of clicks to get a more accurate value for a keyword. The higher this percentage the better.

KEYWORD VALUE

These columns indicate how much potential money you can make from a keyword in a day. I am careful how i phrase that, to come up with a Value for a keyword, we need to consider the number of clicks a site will get, then work out how many clicks the ad will get, then calculate the percentage of those that will be on the number one AD. Then add in the value of the no.1 ad, all of which can change daily. Especially if the keyword has seasonal search volume, e.g. “Christmas lights”. The data and value we provide is the best indication we know to show how valuable a keyword is for the no.1 site. So please take the actual number with a pinch of salt. That said a keyword with a value of $1000 is going to be more valuable than one for $10. Buy using this Information we eliminated most of the keywords that either have low value or high competition.

There are two measures of value in the database.

Adword Value -  is the Adword Traffic multiplied by the Adword cost per click = adword value. This is the the amount the no.1 adword advertiser is likely to pay in a day for the keyword. I typically use this as my main indicator of keyword value.

SEO VALUE – is the SEO traffic multiplied by Adwords CPC = SEO value. This value typically gives how much you could earn when considering all the other keywords that could be advertised as well as the amount of traffic you might get. This value is targeted towards the no.1 site when phrase searched in Google.
